A pet snake in Australia wanted some unexpected emergency treatment after it swallowed an whole seashore towel previously this month.
A online video posted on social media by Sydney’s Compact Animal Specialist Healthcare facility showed how vets saved the pet, named Monty. The 10-foot, 18-yr-old female jungle carpet python was supplied anesthesia and scanned to locate the towel, the group wrote on Fb.
Dr. Olivia Clarke of the hospital’s avian and exotics section then sent forceps in by an endoscope to get the towel and pull it.
As the video earlier mentioned reveals, she had to preserve pulling.
Both of those snake and towel are now performing very well.
“Monty was discharged from medical center the exact same day and her operator reviews she is back to her happy, hungry self,” the hospital wrote on Facebook.
